As-Saaffaat 1

وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ صَفًّا ﴿١﴾

Waalssaffati saffan

By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 2

فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًا ﴿٢﴾

Faalzzajirati zajran

By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 3

فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا ﴿٣﴾

Faalttaliyati thikran

By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 4

إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌ ﴿٤﴾

Inna ilahakum lawahidun

Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 5

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ ﴿٥﴾

Rabbu alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma warabbu almashariqi

Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 6

إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ ﴿٦﴾

Inna zayyanna alssamaa alddunya bizeenatin alkawakibi

Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 7

وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَٰنٍ مَّارِدٍ ﴿٧﴾

Wahifthan min kulli shaytanin maridin

And to guard against every rebellious devil. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 8

لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ ﴿٨﴾

La yassammaAAoona ila almalai alaAAla wayuqthafoona min kulli janibin

They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 9

دُحُورًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ ﴿٩﴾

Duhooran walahum AAathabun wasibun

Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 10

إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ ﴿١٠﴾

Illa man khatifa alkhatfata faatbaAAahu shihabun thaqibun

Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 11

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍۭ ﴿١١﴾

Faistaftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan am man khalaqna inna khalaqnahum min teenin lazibin

Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 12

بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ ﴿١٢﴾

Bal AAajibta wayaskharoona

Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 13

وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ ﴿١٣﴾

Waitha thukkiroo la yathkuroona

And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 14

وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Waitha raaw ayatan yastaskhiroona

And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 15

وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿١٥﴾

Waqaloo in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun

And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 16

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ﴿١٦﴾

Aitha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman ainna lamabAAoothoona

"When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 17

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

Awaabaona alawwaloona

"And also our fathers of old?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 18

قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ ﴿١٨﴾

Qul naAAam waantum dakhiroona

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 19

فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Fainnama hiya zajratun wahidatun faitha hum yanthuroona

It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 20

وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿٢٠﴾

Waqaloo ya waylana hatha yawmu alddeeni

They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 21

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Hatha yawmu alfasli allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona

(It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 22

ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

Ohshuroo allatheena thalamoo waazwajahum wama kanoo yaAAbudoona

(It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 23

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Min dooni Allahi faihdoohum ila sirati aljaheemi

"Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 24

وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ ﴿٢٤﴾

Waqifoohum innahum masooloona

"But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 25

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾

Ma lakum la tanasaroona

"What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 26

بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Bal humu alyawma mustaslimoona

Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 27

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Waaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin yatasaaloona

And they will turn to one another and question one another. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 28

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٢٨﴾

Qaloo innakum kuntum tatoonana AAani alyameeni

They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 29

قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾

Qaloo bal lam takoonoo mumineena

They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 30

وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَٰغِينَ ﴿٣٠﴾

Wama kana lana AAalaykum min sultanin bal kuntum qawman tagheena

"And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 31

فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ ﴿٣١﴾

Fahaqqa AAalayna qawlu rabbina inna lathaiqoona

"So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 32

فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Faaghwaynakum inna kunna ghaweena

"So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 33

فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Fainnahum yawmaithin fee alAAathabi mushtarikoona

Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 34

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ﴿٣٤﴾

Inna kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena

Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 35

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Innahum kanoo itha qeela lahum la ilaha illa Allahu yastakbiroona

Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 36

وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍۭ ﴿٣٦﴾

Wayaqooloona ainna latarikoo alihatina lishaAAirin majnoonin

And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 37

بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿٣٧﴾

Bal jaa bialhaqqi wasaddaqa almursaleena

Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 38

إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ ﴿٣٨﴾

Innakum lathaiqoo alAAathabi alaleemi

Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 39

وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

Wama tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona

And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 40

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿٤٠﴾

Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena

Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 41

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ ﴿٤١﴾

Olaika lahum rizqun maAAloomun

For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 42

فَوَٰكِهُ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Fawakihu wahum mukramoona

Fruits; and they shall be honoured, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 43

فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٤٣﴾

Fee jannati alnnaAAeemi

In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 44

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ ﴿٤٤﴾

AAala sururin mutaqabileena

Facing one another on thrones, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 45

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ ﴿٤٥﴾

Yutafu AAalayhim bikasin min maAAeenin

Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 46

بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Baydaa laththatin lilshsharibeena

White, delicious to the drinkers, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 47

لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

La feeha ghawlun wala hum AAanha yunzafoona

Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 48

وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌ ﴿٤٨﴾

WaAAindahum qasiratu alttarfi AAeenun

And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 49

كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ ﴿٤٩﴾

Kaannahunna baydun maknoonun

(Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 50

فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾

Faaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin yatasaaloona

Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 51

قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌ ﴿٥١﴾

Qala qailun minhum innee kana lee qareenun

A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 52

يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ ﴿٥٢﴾

Yaqoolu ainnaka lamina almusaddiqeena

Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 53

أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Aitha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman ainna lamadeenoona

"(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 54

قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ ﴿٥٤﴾

Qala hal antum muttaliAAoona

(The man) said: "Will you look down?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 55

فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿٥٥﴾

FaittalaAAa faraahu fee sawai aljaheemi

So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 56

قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ ﴿٥٦﴾

Qala taAllahi in kidta laturdeeni

He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 57

وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ ﴿٥٧﴾

Walawla niAAmatu rabbee lakuntu mina almuhdareena

"Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 58

أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ ﴿٥٨﴾

Afama nahnu bimayyiteena

(Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 59

إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ﴿٥٩﴾

Illa mawtatana aloola wama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena

"Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 60

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ﴿٦٠﴾

Inna hatha lahuwa alfawzu alAAatheemu

Truly, this is the supreme success! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 61

لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَٰمِلُونَ ﴿٦١﴾

Limithli hatha falyaAAmali alAAamiloona

For the like of this let the workers work. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 62

أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ ﴿٦٢﴾

Athalika khayrun nuzulan am shajaratu alzzaqqoomi

Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 63

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهَا فِتْنَةً لِّلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿٦٣﴾

Inna jaAAalnaha fitnatan lilththalimeena

Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 64

إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿٦٤﴾

Innaha shajaratun takhruju fee asli aljaheemi

Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 65

طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ ﴿٦٥﴾

TalAAuha kaannahu ruoosu alshshayateeni

The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 66

فَإِنَّهُمْ لَءَاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾

Fainnahum laakiloona minha famalioona minha albutoona

Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 67

ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ ﴿٦٧﴾

Thumma inna lahum AAalayha lashawban min hameemin

Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 68

ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿٦٨﴾

Thumma inna marjiAAahum laila aljaheemi

Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 69

إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ ضَآلِّينَ ﴿٦٩﴾

Innahum alfaw abaahum dalleena

Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 70

فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ ﴿٧٠﴾

Fahum AAala atharihim yuhraAAoona

So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 71

وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٧١﴾

Walaqad dalla qablahum aktharu alawwaleena

And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 72

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ ﴿٧٢﴾

Walaqad arsalna feehim munthireena

And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 73

فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ﴿٧٣﴾

Faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almunthareena

Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 74

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿٧٤﴾

Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena

Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 75

وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ ﴿٧٥﴾

Walaqad nadana noohun falaniAAma almujeeboona

And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 76

وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٧٦﴾

Wanajjaynahu waahlahu mina alkarbi alAAatheemi

And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 77

وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ ﴿٧٧﴾

WajaAAalna thurriyyatahu humu albaqeena

And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 78

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿٧٨﴾

Watarakna AAalayhi fee alakhireena

And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 79

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٧٩﴾

Salamun AAala noohin fee alAAalameena

Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 80

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿٨٠﴾

Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena

Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 81

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٨١﴾

Innahu min AAibadina almumineena

Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 82

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ﴿٨٢﴾

Thumma aghraqna alakhareena

Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 83

وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ﴿٨٣﴾

Wainna min sheeAAatihi laibraheema

And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 84

إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ ﴿٨٤﴾

Ith jaa rabbahu biqalbin saleemin

When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 85

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٨٥﴾

Ith qala liabeehi waqawmihi matha taAAbudoona

When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 86

أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةً دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ ﴿٨٦﴾

Aifkan alihatan doona Allahi tureedoona

"Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 87

فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٨٧﴾

Fama thannukum birabbi alAAalameena

"Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 88

فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴿٨٨﴾

Fanathara nathratan fee alnnujoomi

Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 89

فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌ ﴿٨٩﴾

Faqala innee saqeemun

And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 90

فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ ﴿٩٠﴾

Fatawallaw AAanhu mudbireena

So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 91

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ ﴿٩١﴾

Faragha ila alihatihim faqala ala takuloona

Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 92

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ ﴿٩٢﴾

Ma lakum la tantiqoona

"What is the matter with you that you speak not?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 93

فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٩٣﴾

Faragha AAalayhim darban bialyameeni

Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 94

فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ ﴿٩٤﴾

Faaqbaloo ilayhi yaziffoona

Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 95

قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ ﴿٩٥﴾

Qala ataAAbudoona ma tanhitoona

He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 96

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٩٦﴾

WaAllahu khalaqakum wama taAAmaloona

"While Allah has created you and what you make!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 97

قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَٰنًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿٩٧﴾

Qaloo ibnoo lahu bunyanan faalqoohu fee aljaheemi

They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 98

فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ ﴿٩٨﴾

Faaradoo bihi kaydan fajaAAalnahumu alasfaleena

So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 99

وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ ﴿٩٩﴾

Waqala innee thahibun ila rabbee sayahdeeni

And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 100

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿١٠٠﴾

Rabbi hab lee mina alssaliheena

"My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 101

فَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٍ ﴿١٠١﴾

Fabashsharnahu bighulamin haleemin

So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 102

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ ﴿١٠٢﴾

Falamma balagha maAAahu alssaAAya qala ya bunayya innee ara fee almanami annee athbahuka faonthur matha tara qala ya abati ifAAal ma tumaru satajidunee in shaa Allahu mina alssabireena

And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 103

فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ ﴿١٠٣﴾

Falamma aslama watallahu liljabeeni

Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 104

وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ﴿١٠٤﴾

Wanadaynahu an ya ibraheemu

And We called out to him: "O Abraham! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 105

قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٠٥﴾

Qad saddaqta alrruya inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena

You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 106

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ ﴿١٠٦﴾

Inna hatha lahuwa albalao almubeenu

Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 107

وَفَدَيْنَٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿١٠٧﴾

Wafadaynahu bithibhin AAatheemin

And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 108

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿١٠٨﴾

Watarakna AAalayhi fee alakhireena

And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 109

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ﴿١٠٩﴾

Salamun AAala ibraheema

Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 110

كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١١٠﴾

Kathalika najzee almuhsineena

Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 111

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١١١﴾

Innahu min AAibadina almumineena

Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 112

وَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِإِسْحَٰقَ نَبِيًّا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿١١٢﴾

Wabashsharnahu biishaqa nabiyyan mina alssaliheena

And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 113

وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌ ﴿١١٣﴾

Wabarakna AAalayhi waAAala ishaqa wamin thurriyyatihima muhsinun wathalimun linafsihi mubeenun

We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 114

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ﴿١١٤﴾

Walaqad mananna AAala moosa waharoona

And, indeed We gave Our Grace to Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 115

وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿١١٥﴾

Wanajjaynahuma waqawmahuma mina alkarbi alAAatheemi

And We saved them and their people from the great distress; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 116

وَنَصَرْنَٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ ﴿١١٦﴾

Wanasarnahum fakanoo humu alghalibeena

And helped them, so that they became the victors; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 117

وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ ﴿١١٧﴾

Waataynahuma alkitaba almustabeena

And We gave them the clear Scripture; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 118

وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴿١١٨﴾

Wahadaynahuma alssirata almustaqeema

And guided them to the Right Path; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 119

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿١١٩﴾

Watarakna AAalayhima fee alakhireena

And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 120

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ﴿١٢٠﴾

Salamun AAala moosa waharoona

Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 121

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٢١﴾

Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena

Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 122

إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٢٢﴾

Innahuma min AAibadina almumineena

Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 123

وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٢٣﴾

Wainna ilyasa lamina almursaleena

And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 124

إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٢٤﴾

Ith qala liqawmihi ala tattaqoona

When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 125

أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ ﴿١٢٥﴾

AtadAAoona baAAlan watatharoona ahsana alkhaliqeena

"Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 126

ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٢٦﴾

Allaha rabbakum warabba abaikumu alawwaleena

"Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 127

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ﴿١٢٧﴾

Fakaththaboohu fainnahum lamuhdaroona

But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 128

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿١٢٨﴾

Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena

Except the chosen slaves of Allah. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 129

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿١٢٩﴾

Watarakna AAalayhi fee alakhireena

And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 130

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ ﴿١٣٠﴾

Salamun AAala il yaseena

Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 131

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٣١﴾

Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena

Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 132

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١٣٢﴾

Innahu min AAibadina almumineena

Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 133

وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٣٣﴾

Wainna lootan lamina almursaleena

And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 134

إِذْ نَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ﴿١٣٤﴾

Ith najjaynahu waahlahu ajmaAAeena

When We saved him and his family, all, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 135

إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ ﴿١٣٥﴾

Illa AAajoozan fee alghabireena

Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 136

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ﴿١٣٦﴾

Thumma dammarna alakhareena

Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 137

وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ ﴿١٣٧﴾

Wainnakum latamurroona AAalayhim musbiheena

Verily, you pass by them in the morning. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 138

وَبِٱلَّيْلِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿١٣٨﴾

Wabiallayli afala taAAqiloona

And at night; will you not then reflect? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 139

وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٣٩﴾

Wainna yoonusa lamina almursaleena

And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 140

إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ ﴿١٤٠﴾

Ith abaqa ila alfulki almashhooni

When he ran to the laden ship, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 141

فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ ﴿١٤١﴾

Fasahama fakana mina almudhadeena

He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 142

فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ ﴿١٤٢﴾

Failtaqamahu alhootu wahuwa muleemun

Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 143

فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ ﴿١٤٣﴾

Falawla annahu kana mina almusabbiheena

Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 144

لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ﴿١٤٤﴾

Lalabitha fee batnihi ila yawmi yubAAathoona

He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 145

فَنَبَذْنَٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ ﴿١٤٥﴾

Fanabathnahu bialAAarai wahuwa saqeemun

But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 146

وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ ﴿١٤٦﴾

Waanbatna AAalayhi shajaratan min yaqteenin

And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 147

وَأَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ ﴿١٤٧﴾

Waarsalnahu ila miati alfin aw yazeedoona

And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 148

فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ ﴿١٤٨﴾

Faamanoo famattaAAnahum ila heenin

And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 149

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ ﴿١٤٩﴾

Faistaftihim alirabbika albanatu walahumu albanoona

Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 150

أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثًا وَهُمْ شَٰهِدُونَ ﴿١٥٠﴾

Am khalaqna almalaikata inathan wahum shahidoona

Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 151

أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ ﴿١٥١﴾

Ala innahum min ifkihim layaqooloona

Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 152

وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ﴿١٥٢﴾

Walada Allahu wainnahum lakathiboona

"Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 153

أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ ﴿١٥٣﴾

Astafa albanati AAala albaneena

Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 154

مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ ﴿١٥٤﴾

Ma lakum kayfa tahkumoona

What is the matter with you? How do you decide? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 155

أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿١٥٥﴾

Afala tathakkaroona

Will you not then remember? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 156

أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَٰنٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿١٥٦﴾

Am lakum sultanun mubeenun

Or is there for you a plain authority? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 157

فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿١٥٧﴾

Fatoo bikitabikum in kuntum sadiqeena

Then bring your Book if you are truthful! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 158

وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ﴿١٥٨﴾

WajaAAaloo baynahu wabayna aljinnati nasaban walaqad AAalimati aljinnatu innahum lamuhdaroona

And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 159

سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴿١٥٩﴾

Subhana Allahi AAamma yasifoona

Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 160

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿١٦٠﴾

Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena

Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 161

فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿١٦١﴾

Fainnakum wama taAAbudoona

So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 162

مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ ﴿١٦٢﴾

Ma antum AAalayhi bifatineena

Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 163

إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦٣﴾

Illa man huwa sali aljaheemi

Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 164

وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ ﴿١٦٤﴾

Wama minna illa lahu maqamun maAAloomun

There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 165

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ ﴿١٦٥﴾

Wainna lanahnu alssaffoona

Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 166

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ ﴿١٦٦﴾

Wainna lanahnu almusabbihoona

Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 167

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ ﴿١٦٧﴾

Wain kanoo layaqooloona

And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 168

لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٦٨﴾

Law anna AAindana thikran mina alawwaleena

"If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 169

لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿١٦٩﴾

Lakunna AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena

"We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 170

فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٧٠﴾

Fakafaroo bihi fasawfa yaAAlamoona

But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 171

وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٧١﴾

Walaqad sabaqat kalimatuna liAAibadina almursaleena

And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 172

إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ ﴿١٧٢﴾

Innahum lahumu almansooroona

That they verily would be made triumphant. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 173

وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ ﴿١٧٣﴾

Wainna jundana lahumu alghaliboona

And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 174

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ﴿١٧٤﴾

Fatawalla AAanhum hatta heenin

So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 175

وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿١٧٥﴾

Waabsirhum fasawfa yubsiroona

And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 176

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ﴿١٧٦﴾

AfabiAAathabina yastaAAjiloona

Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 177

فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ﴿١٧٧﴾

Faitha nazala bisahatihim fasaa sabahu almunthareena

Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 178

وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ﴿١٧٨﴾

Watawalla AAanhum hatta heenin

So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 179

وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿١٧٩﴾

Waabsir fasawfa yubsiroona

And watch and they shall see (the torment)! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 180

سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴿١٨٠﴾

Subhana rabbika rabbi alAAizzati AAamma yasifoona

Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 181

وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٨١﴾

Wasalamun AAala almursaleena

And peace be on the Messengers! The Noble Quran

As-Saaffaat 182

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٨٢﴾

Waalhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). The Noble Quran
