An-Naba 1

عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ﴿١﴾

AAamma yatasaaloona

What are they asking (one another)? The Noble Quran

An-Naba 2

عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٢﴾

AAani alnnabai alAAatheemi

About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), The Noble Quran

An-Naba 3

ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ ﴿٣﴾

Allathee hum feehi mukhtalifoona

About which they are in disagreement. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 4

كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Kalla sayaAAlamoona

Nay, they will come to know! The Noble Quran

An-Naba 5

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٥﴾

Thumma kalla sayaAAlamoona

Nay, again, they will come to know! The Noble Quran

An-Naba 6

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَٰدًا ﴿٦﴾

Alam najAAali alarda mihadan

Have We not made the earth as a bed, The Noble Quran

An-Naba 7

وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا ﴿٧﴾

Waaljibala awtadan

And the mountains as pegs? The Noble Quran

An-Naba 8

وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ﴿٨﴾

Wakhalaqnakum azwajan

And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.). The Noble Quran

An-Naba 9

وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا ﴿٩﴾

WajaAAalna nawmakum subatan

And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 10

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا ﴿١٠﴾

WajaAAalna allayla libasan

And have made the night as a covering (through its darkness), The Noble Quran

An-Naba 11

وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا ﴿١١﴾

WajaAAalna alnnahara maAAashan

And have made the day for livelihood. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 12

وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا ﴿١٢﴾

Wabanayna fawqakum sabAAan shidadan

And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), The Noble Quran

An-Naba 13

وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا ﴿١٣﴾

WajaAAalna sirajan wahhajan

And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun). The Noble Quran

An-Naba 14

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا ﴿١٤﴾

Waanzalna mina almuAAsirati maan thajjajan

And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 15

لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا ﴿١٥﴾

Linukhrija bihi habban wanabatan

That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations, The Noble Quran

An-Naba 16

وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا ﴿١٦﴾

Wajannatin alfafan

And gardens of thick growth. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 17

إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتًا ﴿١٧﴾

Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqatan

Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time, The Noble Quran

An-Naba 18

يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا ﴿١٨﴾

Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fatatoona afwajan

The Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and you shall come forth in crowds (groups); The Noble Quran

An-Naba 19

وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًا ﴿١٩﴾

Wafutihati alssamao fakanat abwaban

And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, The Noble Quran

An-Naba 20

وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ﴿٢٠﴾

Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanat saraban

And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 21

إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا ﴿٢١﴾

Inna jahannama kanat mirsadan

Truly, Hell is a place of ambush, The Noble Quran

An-Naba 22

لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًا ﴿٢٢﴾

Lilttagheena maaban

A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), The Noble Quran

An-Naba 23

لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًا ﴿٢٣﴾

Labitheena feeha ahqaban

They will abide therein for ages, The Noble Quran

An-Naba 24

لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا ﴿٢٤﴾

La yathooqoona feeha bardan wala sharaban

Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 25

إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا ﴿٢٥﴾

Illa hameeman waghassaqan

Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 26

جَزَآءً وِفَاقًا ﴿٢٦﴾

Jazaan wifaqan

An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes). The Noble Quran

An-Naba 27

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا ﴿٢٧﴾

Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaban

For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 28

وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا ﴿٢٨﴾

Wakaththaboo biayatina kiththaban

But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 29

وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ كِتَٰبًا ﴿٢٩﴾

Wakulla shayin ahsaynahu kitaban

And all things We have recorded in a Book. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 30

فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ﴿٣٠﴾

Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illa AAathaban

So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 31

إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا ﴿٣١﴾

Inna lilmuttaqeena mafazan

Verily, for the Muttaqun, there will be a success (Paradise); The Noble Quran

An-Naba 32

حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَٰبًا ﴿٣٢﴾

Hadaiqa waaAAnaban

Gardens and grapeyards; The Noble Quran

An-Naba 33

وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا ﴿٣٣﴾

WakawaAAiba atraban

And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age; The Noble Quran

An-Naba 34

وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا ﴿٣٤﴾

Wakasan dihaqan

And a full cup (of wine). The Noble Quran

An-Naba 35

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّٰبًا ﴿٣٥﴾

La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala kiththaban

No Laghw (dirty, false, evil talk) shall they hear therein, nor lying; The Noble Quran

An-Naba 36

جَزَآءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا ﴿٣٦﴾

Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaban

A reward from your Lord, an ample calculated gift (according to the best of their good deeds). The Noble Quran

An-Naba 37

رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا ﴿٣٧﴾

Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma alrrahmani la yamlikoona minhu khitaban

(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in between them, the Most Beneficent, none can dare to speak with Him (on the Day of Resurrection except after His Leave). The Noble Quran

An-Naba 38

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّا لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا ﴿٣٨﴾

Yawma yaqoomu alrroohu waalmalaikatu saffan la yatakallamoona illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waqala sawaban

The Day that Ar-Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel) or another angel] and the angels will stand forth in rows, none shall speak except him whom the Most Beneficent (Allah) allows, and he will speak what is right. The Noble Quran

An-Naba 39

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا ﴿٣٩﴾

Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaban

That is without doubt the True Day, so, whosoever wills, let him seek a place with (or a way to) His Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)! The Noble Quran

An-Naba 40

إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا ﴿٤٠﴾

Inna antharnakum AAathaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntu turaban

Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!" The Noble Quran
