ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿١﴾
Iqtarabati alssaAAatu wainshaqqa alqamaru
The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). The Noble Quran
وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ ﴿٢﴾
Wain yaraw ayatan yuAAridoo wayaqooloo sihrun mustamirrun
And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic." The Noble Quran
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ ﴿٣﴾
Wakaththaboo waittabaAAoo ahwaahum wakullu amrin mustaqirrun
They belied (the Verses of Allah, this Quran), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled [according to the kind of deeds (for the doer of good deeds, his deeds will take him to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell)]. The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ ﴿٤﴾
Walaqad jaahum mina alanbai ma feehi muzdajarun
And indeed there has come to them news (in this Quran) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil), The Noble Quran
حِكْمَةٌۢ بَٰلِغَةٌ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ ﴿٥﴾
Hikmatun balighatun fama tughnee alnnuthuru
Perfect wisdom (this Quran), but (the preaching of) warners benefit them not, The Noble Quran
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍ نُّكُرٍ ﴿٦﴾
Fatawalla AAanhum yawma yadAAu alddaAAi ila shayin nukurin
So (O Muhammad SAW) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing. The Noble Quran
خُشَّعًا أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُّنتَشِرٌ ﴿٧﴾
KhushshaAAan absaruhum yakhrujoona mina alajdathi kaannahum jaradun muntashirun
They will come forth, with humbled eyes from (their) graves as if they were locusts spread abroad, The Noble Quran
مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِ يَقُولُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ ﴿٨﴾
MuhtiAAeena ila alddaAAi yaqoolu alkafiroona hatha yawmun AAasirun
Hastening towards the caller, the disbelievers will say: "This is a hard Day." The Noble Quran
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌ وَٱزْدُجِرَ ﴿٩﴾
Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin fakaththaboo AAabdana waqaloo majnoonun waizdujira
The people of Nuh (Noah) denied (their Messenger) before them, they rejected Our slave, and said: "A madman!" and he was insolently rebuked and threatened. The Noble Quran
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَغْلُوبٌ فَٱنتَصِرْ ﴿١٠﴾
FadaAAa rabbahu annee maghloobun faintasir
Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)!" The Noble Quran
فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍ مُّنْهَمِرٍ ﴿١١﴾
Fafatahna abwaba alssamai bimain munhamirin
So We opened the gates of heaven with water pouring forth. The Noble Quran
وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ ﴿١٢﴾
Wafajjarna alarda AAuyoonan failtaqa almao AAala amrin qad qudira
And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs. So the waters (of the heaven and the earth) met for a matter predestined. The Noble Quran
وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍ وَدُسُرٍ ﴿١٣﴾
Wahamalnahu AAala thati alwahin wadusurin
And We carried him on a (ship) made of planks and nails, The Noble Quran
تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءً لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ ﴿١٤﴾
Tajree biaAAyunina jazaan liman kana kufira
Floating under Our Eyes, a reward for him who had been rejected! The Noble Quran
وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةً فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿١٥﴾
Walaqad taraknaha ayatan fahal min muddakirin
And indeed, We have left this as a sign, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? The Noble Quran
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿١٦﴾
Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri
Then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿١٧﴾
Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? The Noble Quran
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿١٨﴾
Kaththabat AAadun fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri
'Ad (people) belied (their Prophet, Hud), then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? The Noble Quran
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِى يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّ ﴿١٩﴾
Inna arsalna AAalayhim reehan sarsaran fee yawmi nahsin mustamirrin
Verily, We sent against them a furious wind of harsh voice on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity. The Noble Quran
تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُّنقَعِرٍ ﴿٢٠﴾
TanziAAu alnnasa kaannahum aAAjazu nakhlin munqaAAirin
Plucking out men as if they were uprooted stems of date-palms. The Noble Quran
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٢١﴾
Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri
Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٢٢﴾
Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? The Noble Quran
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٢٣﴾
Kaththabat thamoodu bialnnuthuri
Thamud (people also) belied the warnings. The Noble Quran
فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ ﴿٢٤﴾
Faqaloo abasharan minna wahidan nattabiAAuhu inna ithan lafee dalalin wasuAAurin
For they said: "A man! Alone from among us, that we are to follow? Truly, then we should be in error and distress or madness!" The Noble Quran
أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ ﴿٢٥﴾
Aolqiya alththikru AAalayhi min baynina bal huwa kaththabun ashirun
"Is it that the Reminder is sent to him [Prophet Salih (Saleh)] alone from among us? Nay, he is an insolent liar!" The Noble Quran
سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَّنِ ٱلْكَذَّابُ ٱلْأَشِرُ ﴿٢٦﴾
SayaAAlamoona ghadan mani alkaththabu alashiru
Tomorrow they will come to know, who is the liar, the insolent one! The Noble Quran
إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ ﴿٢٧﴾
Inna mursiloo alnnaqati fitnatan lahum fairtaqibhum waistabir
Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh)], and be patient! The Noble Quran
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلْمَآءَ قِسْمَةٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُّحْتَضَرٌ ﴿٢٨﴾
Wanabbihum anna almaa qismatun baynahum kullu shirbin muhtadarun
And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Each one's right to drink being established (by turns). The Noble Quran
فَنَادَوْا۟ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ ﴿٢٩﴾
Fanadaw sahibahum fataAAata faAAaqara
But they called their comrade and he took (a sword) and killed (her). The Noble Quran
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٠﴾
Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri
Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? The Noble Quran
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَكَانُوا۟ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ ﴿٣١﴾
Inna arsalna AAalayhim sayhatan wahidatan fakanoo kahasheemi almuhtathiri
Verily, We sent against them a single Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.), and they became like the dry stubble of a fold-builder. The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٣٢﴾
Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin
And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? The Noble Quran
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٣٣﴾
Kaththabat qawmu lootin bialnnuthuri
The people of Lout (Lot) belied the warnings. The Noble Quran
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٍ ﴿٣٤﴾
Inna arsalna AAalayhim hasiban illa ala lootin najjaynahum bisaharin
Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lout (Lot), whom We saved in last hour of the night, The Noble Quran
نِّعْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَن شَكَرَ ﴿٣٥﴾
NiAAmatan min AAindina kathalika najzee man shakara
As a Favour from Us, thus do We reward him who gives thanks (by obeying Us). The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا۟ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ﴿٣٦﴾
Walaqad antharahum batshatana fatamaraw bialnnuthuri
And he [Lout (Lot)] indeed had warned them of Our Grasp, but they did doubt the warnings! The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٧﴾
Walaqad rawadoohu AAan dayfihi fatamasna aAAyunahum fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri
And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ ﴿٣٨﴾
Walaqad sabbahahum bukratan AAathabun mustaqirrun
And verily, an abiding torment seized them early in the morning. The Noble Quran
فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ﴿٣٩﴾
Fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri
"Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٤٠﴾
Walaqad yassarna alqurana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin
And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ ﴿٤١﴾
Walaqad jaa ala firAAawna alnnuthuru
And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. The Noble Quran
كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍ ﴿٤٢﴾
Kaththaboo biayatina kulliha faakhathnahum akhtha AAazeezin muqtadirin
(They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent). The Noble Quran
أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ﴿٤٣﴾
Akuffarukum khayrun min olaikum am lakum baraatun fee alzzuburi
Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed)? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? The Noble Quran
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُّنتَصِرٌ ﴿٤٤﴾
Am yaqooloona nahnu jameeAAun muntasirun
Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" The Noble Quran
سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ ﴿٤٥﴾
Sayuhzamu aljamAAu wayuwalloona alddubura
Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. The Noble Quran
بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ ﴿٤٦﴾
Bali alssaAAatu mawAAiduhum waalssaAAatu adha waamarru
Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. The Noble Quran
إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ ﴿٤٧﴾
Inna almujrimeena fee dalalin wasuAAurin
Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). The Noble Quran
يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ ﴿٤٨﴾
Yawma yushaboona fee alnnari AAala wujoohihim thooqoo massa saqara
The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" The Noble Quran
إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ ﴿٤٩﴾
Inna kulla shayin khalaqnahu biqadarin
Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). The Noble Quran
وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ ﴿٥٠﴾
Wama amruna illa wahidatun kalamhin bialbasari
And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. The Noble Quran
وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٥١﴾
Walaqad ahlakna ashyaAAakum fahal min muddakirin
And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? The Noble Quran
وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ﴿٥٢﴾
Wakullu shayin faAAaloohu fee alzzuburi
And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). The Noble Quran
وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُّسْتَطَرٌ ﴿٥٣﴾
Wakullu sagheerin wakabeerin mustatarun
And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). The Noble Quran
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَنَهَرٍ ﴿٥٤﴾
Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin wanaharin
Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). The Noble Quran
فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ ﴿٥٥﴾
Fee maqAAadi sidqin AAinda maleekin muqtadirin
In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). The Noble Quran
