أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ ﴿١﴾
Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biashabi alfeeli
Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. The Noble Quran
أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ ﴿٢﴾
Alam yajAAal kaydahum fee tadleelin
Did He not make their plot go astray? The Noble Quran
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ ﴿٣﴾
Waarsala AAalayhim tayran ababeela
And sent against them birds, in flocks, The Noble Quran
تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ﴿٤﴾
Tarmeehim bihijaratin min sijjeelin
Striking them with stones of Sijjil. The Noble Quran
فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ ﴿٥﴾
FajaAAalahum kaAAasfin makoolin
And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle). The Noble Quran
