At-Takaathur 1

أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ ﴿١﴾

Alhakumu alttakathuru

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, The Noble Quran

At-Takaathur 2

حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ ﴿٢﴾

Hatta zurtumu almaqabira

Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). The Noble Quran

At-Takaathur 3

كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٣﴾

Kalla sawfa taAAlamoona

Nay! You shall come to know! The Noble Quran

At-Takaathur 4

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Thumma kalla sawfa taAAlamoona

Again, Nay! You shall come to know! The Noble Quran

At-Takaathur 5

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ ﴿٥﴾

Kalla law taAAlamoona AAilma alyaqeeni

Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) The Noble Quran

At-Takaathur 6

لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ ﴿٦﴾

Latarawunna aljaheema

Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! The Noble Quran

At-Takaathur 7

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ ﴿٧﴾

Thumma latarawunnaha AAayna alyaqeeni

And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! The Noble Quran

At-Takaathur 8

ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٨﴾

Thumma latusalunna yawmaithin AAani alnnaAAeemi

Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! The Noble Quran
