Al-Qiyaama 1

لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ﴿١﴾

La oqsimu biyawmi alqiyamati

I swear by the Day of Resurrection; The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 2

وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ ﴿٢﴾

Wala oqsimu bialnnafsi allawwamati

And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 3

أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ ﴿٣﴾

Ayahsabu alinsanu allan najmaAAa AAithamahu

Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 4

بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ ﴿٤﴾

Bala qadireena AAala an nusawwiya bananahu

Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 5

بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ ﴿٥﴾

Bal yureedu alinsanu liyafjura amamahu

Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 6

يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ﴿٦﴾

Yasalu ayyana yawmu alqiyamati

He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 7

فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ ﴿٧﴾

Faitha bariqa albasaru

So, when the sight shall be dazed, The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 8

وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿٨﴾

Wakhasafa alqamaru

And the moon will be eclipsed, The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 9

وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ ﴿٩﴾

WajumiAAa alshshamsu waalqamaru

And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 10

يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ ﴿١٠﴾

Yaqoolu alinsanu yawmaithin ayna almafarru

On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 11

كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ ﴿١١﴾

Kalla la wazara

No! There is no refuge! The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 12

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ ﴿١٢﴾

Ila rabbika yawmaithin almustaqarru

Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 13

يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ ﴿١٣﴾

Yunabbao alinsanu yawmaithin bima qaddama waakhkhara

On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 14

بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ ﴿١٤﴾

Bali alinsanu AAala nafsihi baseeratun

Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 15

وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ ﴿١٥﴾

Walaw alqa maAAatheerahu

Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 16

لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ ﴿١٦﴾

La tuharrik bihi lisanaka litaAAjala bihi

Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 17

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ ﴿١٧﴾

Inna AAalayna jamAAahu waquranahu

It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 18

فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ ﴿١٨﴾

Faitha qaranahu faittabiAA quranahu

And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 19

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ ﴿١٩﴾

Thumma inna AAalayna bayanahu

Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 20

كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ ﴿٢٠﴾

Kalla bal tuhibboona alAAajilata

Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 21

وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ ﴿٢١﴾

Watatharoona alakhirata

And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 22

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ ﴿٢٢﴾

Wujoohun yawmaithin nadiratun

Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 23

إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ ﴿٢٣﴾

Ila rabbiha nathiratun

Looking at their Lord (Allah); The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 24

وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ ﴿٢٤﴾

Wawujoohun yawmaithin basiratun

And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 25

تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ ﴿٢٥﴾

Tathunnu an yufAAala biha faqiratun

Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 26

كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Kalla itha balaghati alttaraqiya

Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 27

وَقِيلَ مَنْ رَاقٍ ﴿٢٧﴾

Waqeela man raqin

And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 28

وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ ﴿٢٨﴾

Wathanna annahu alfiraqu

And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 29

وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ ﴿٢٩﴾

Wailtaffati alssaqu bialssaqi

And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 30

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ ﴿٣٠﴾

Ila rabbika yawmaithin almasaqu

The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 31

فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ ﴿٣١﴾

Fala saddaqa wala salla

So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Quran, in the Message of Muhammad SAW) nor prayed! The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 32

وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ﴿٣٢﴾

Walakin kaththaba watawalla

But on the contrary, he belied (this Quran and the Message of Muhammad SAW) and turned away! The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 33

ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ ﴿٣٣﴾

Thumma thahaba ila ahlihi yatamatta

Then he walked in full pride to his family admiring himself! The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 34

أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ ﴿٣٤﴾

Awla laka faawla

Woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you! The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 35

ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ ﴿٣٥﴾

Thumma awla laka faawla

Again, woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you! The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 36

أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى ﴿٣٦﴾

Ayahsabu alinsanu an yutraka sudan

Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allah) on him]? The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 37

أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ ﴿٣٧﴾

Alam yaku nutfatan min manayyin yumna

Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth? The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 38

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٣٨﴾

Thumma kana AAalaqatan fakhalaqa fasawwa

Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allah) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 39

فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ﴿٣٩﴾

FajaAAala minhu alzzawjayni alththakara waalontha

And made him in two sexes, male and female. The Noble Quran

Al-Qiyaama 40

أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْۦِىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ﴿٤٠﴾

Alaysa thalika biqadirin AAala an yuhyiya almawta

Is not He (Allah Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things). The Noble Quran
