ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ﴿١﴾

Alhaqqatu

The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 2

مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ﴿٢﴾

Ma alhaqqatu

What is the Reality? The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 3

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ﴿٣﴾

Wama adraka ma alhaqqatu

And what will make you know what the Reality is? The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 4

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ ﴿٤﴾

Kaththabat thamoodu waAAadun bialqariAAati

Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 5

فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ ﴿٥﴾

Faamma thamoodu faohlikoo bialttaghiyati

As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 6

وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ ﴿٦﴾

Waamma AAadun faohlikoo bireehin sarsarin AAatiyatin

And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 7

سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ ﴿٧﴾

Sakhkharaha AAalayhim sabAAa layalin wathamaniyata ayyamin husooman fatara alqawma feeha sarAAa kaannahum aAAjazu nakhlin khawiyatun

Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 8

فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍ ﴿٨﴾

Fahal tara lahum min baqiyatin

Do you see any remnants of them? The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 9

وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ ﴿٩﴾

Wajaa firAAawnu waman qablahu waalmutafikatu bialkhatiati

And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 10

فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً ﴿١٠﴾

FaAAasaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahum akhthatan rabiyatan

And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 11

إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ ﴿١١﴾

Inna lamma tagha almao hamalnakum fee aljariyati

Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 12

لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌ وَٰعِيَةٌ ﴿١٢﴾

LinajAAalaha lakum tathkiratan wataAAiyaha othunun waAAiyatun

That We might make it a remembrance for you, and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 13

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ ﴿١٣﴾

Faitha nufikha fee alssoori nafkhatun wahidatun

Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one), The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 14

وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَٰحِدَةً ﴿١٤﴾

Wahumilati alardu waaljibalu fadukkata dakkatan wahidatan

And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 15

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ﴿١٥﴾

Fayawmaithin waqaAAati alwaqiAAatu

Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 16

وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ ﴿١٦﴾

Wainshaqqati alssamao fahiya yawmaithin wahiyatun

And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 17

وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌ ﴿١٧﴾

Waalmalaku AAala arjaiha wayahmilu AAarsha rabbika fawqahum yawmaithin thamaniyatun

And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 18

يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ ﴿١٨﴾

Yawmaithin tuAAradoona la takhfa minkum khafiyatun

That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 19

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُوا۟ كِتَٰبِيَهْ ﴿١٩﴾

Faamma man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi fayaqoolu haomu iqraoo kitabiyah

Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 20

إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ ﴿٢٠﴾

Innee thanantu annee mulaqin hisabiyah

"Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!" The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 21

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ﴿٢١﴾

Fahuwa fee AAeeshatin radiyatin

So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 22

فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ ﴿٢٢﴾

Fee jannatin AAaliyatin

In a lofty Paradise, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 23

قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ ﴿٢٣﴾

Qutoofuha daniyatun

The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 24

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَآ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْخَالِيَةِ ﴿٢٤﴾

Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima aslaftum fee alayyami alkhaliyati

Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 25

وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ ﴿٢٥﴾

Waamma man ootiya kitabahu bishimalihi fayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oota kitabiyah

But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 26

وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ ﴿٢٦﴾

Walam adri ma hisabiyah

"And that I had never known, how my Account is? The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 27

يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Ya laytaha kanati alqadiyatu

"I wish, would that it had been my end (death)! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 28

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّى مَالِيَهْ ﴿٢٨﴾

Ma aghna AAannee maliyah

"My wealth has not availed me, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 29

هَلَكَ عَنِّى سُلْطَٰنِيَهْ ﴿٢٩﴾

Halaka AAannee sultaniyah

"My power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!" The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 30

خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ ﴿٣٠﴾

Khuthoohu faghulloohu

(It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 31

ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ ﴿٣١﴾

Thumma aljaheema salloohu

Then throw him in the blazing Fire. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 32

ثُمَّ فِى سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَٱسْلُكُوهُ ﴿٣٢﴾

Thumma fee silsilatin tharAAuha sabAAoona thiraAAan faoslukoohu

"Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 33

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٣٣﴾

Innahu kana la yuminu biAllahi alAAatheemi

Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 34

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ ﴿٣٤﴾

Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeeni

And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 35

فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٌ ﴿٣٥﴾

Falaysa lahu alyawma hahuna hameemun

So no friend has he here this Day, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 36

وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ ﴿٣٦﴾

Wala taAAamun illa min ghisleenin

Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 37

لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ ﴿٣٧﴾

La yakuluhu illa alkhatioona

None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 38

فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٣٨﴾

Fala oqsimu bima tubsiroona

So I swear by whatsoever you see, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 39

وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

Wama la tubsiroona

And by whatsoever you see not, The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 40

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ ﴿٤٠﴾

Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin

That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah]. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 41

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ قَلِيلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٤١﴾

Wama huwa biqawli shaAAirin qaleelan ma tuminoona

It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 42

وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Wala biqawli kahinin qaleelan ma tathakkaroona

Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember! The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 43

تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٤٣﴾

Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena

This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 44

وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ ﴿٤٤﴾

Walaw taqawwala AAalayna baAAda alaqaweeli

And if he (Muhammad SAW) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah), The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 45

لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٤٥﴾

Laakhathna minhu bialyameeni

We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 46

ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Thumma laqataAAna minhu alwateena

And then certainly should have cut off his life artery (Aorta), The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 47

فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Fama minkum min ahadin AAanhu hajizeena

And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 48

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Wainnahu latathkiratun lilmuttaqeena

And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 49

وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Wainna lanaAAlamu anna minkum mukaththibeena

And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 50

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ﴿٥٠﴾

Wainnahu lahasratun AAala alkafireena

And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 51

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ ﴿٥١﴾

Wainnahu lahaqqu alyaqeeni

And Verily, it (this Quran) is an absolute truth with certainty. The Noble Quran

Al-Haaqqa 52

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿٥٢﴾

Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi

So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. The Noble Quran
